Our sixteen Founding Mothers set forward to create an organization that would embrace womyn from every walk of life. It was during that time that they set out to fill that void in order to promote diversity. Today we strive in actualizing our Founders’ vision by making the awareness of diversity and multiculturalism basic elements of our organization. Lambda Tau Omega does NOT define the organization solely by the make-up of our membership but rather by the make-up of our character. We have created a beautiful culture of Enchanting Mermaids whom mirror the myriad of diversity of our Royal Blue Seas. It is through our differences that we are able to empower each other and enhance our inner-spirits through the exposure of our varied backgrounds, personalities and beliefs. It is also through these differences that we exemplify and live by our motto: “Excellence through unity, knowledge and dedication”.
